#1: Plan a Pre-Wedding Trial

Let there be no surprises to stress you out last minute on such a special day. Everyone involved in the wedding is preparing months in advance for the big day. When the emotional moments pass and fade, the photos that remain will be the only things left to reminisce and relive. So don’t skimp out on the hair and makeup trial! The trial is the best way to reduce any day-of stress and absolutely LOVE the way you look on your son’s special day.

#2: Moisturize, Moisturize, Moisturize!

Our #1 tip for any mom preparing for their makeup on the day of the wedding is to make sure to moisturize well in advance - period. While the stylist will ensure you look nothing but flawless on the wedding day, you still have your own prepping to do. Makeup only enhances the beauty that’s underneath, so be sure to consistently moisturize your skin for at least 6 weeks before the wedding!

#3: Avoid New Treatments Close to The Wedding Day

Avoid trying new skin treatments like new facials, new products, or dermabrasion up to two months before the wedding day. Sometimes these treatments can cause blotching, redness, swelling, sensitivity, and more depending on what type of treatment and care you receive and how your skin might react to it. Give your skin plenty of time to heal and schedule any treatments well before the big day.
